The cause of death of Konstantin Koltsov, Sabalenka's ex-boyfriend, put into question

Update 18:10PM : Sabalenka stated via her instagram account that she was not in a relation with Koltsov anymore when the event occurred.

Could the "apparent" suicide be an accident?

As reported Monday night, Aryna Sabalenka's boyfriend of 3 years fell to his death from the 23rd floor of the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort when he supposedly jumped from the balcony of their hotel room. According the Miami-Dade Police Department, the death is under investigation as an "apparent suicide".

"Empty alcohol bottles were found in the room where Konstantin stayed. There was a balcony overlooking the ocean. Probably Konstantin did not keep track of his actions."

She also claims to still have access to Koltsov's e-mail and found that he booked appartements and rented a car for the coming weeks. He would have also made online purchases the night of the tragic event :

"That is, he did not intend to die. Anything, of course, can go to your head, but there was no sign of tragedy."

Most of the time, suicide cases don't show any precursor signs or preparation, but these new information lead us to believe that the cause of death could also be an accident.

But in another turn of events, Sabalenka just announced on her instagram account that she wasn't in a relation with Koltsov anymore when the event occurred.

Miami-Dade Police Department's investigation is still ongoing, we should learn more in the coming days.
