They each won a tier 500 tournament
The tennis couple wrote an unique page of history last weekend when they both prevailed, within hours of each other, in their respective finals. They discuss their "perfect weekend" in a short video with the ATP and WTA tours. (Video shown below)
Less than 12 hours after De Minaur successfully defended his Acapulco ATP 500 title, Katie Boulter won the San Diego Open by beating Marta Kostyuk in 3 sets.
The Australian player could well win the boyfriend of the year award, after finishing his match at midnight in Acapulco, he was on a 6AM flight towards San Diego to cheer for his girlfriend during her final.
Gentlemen, we recommend that you don't show this video to your girlfriend as it could make you look bad!
