An impressive lineup at the Porsche Grand Prix WTA 500 tournament

9 of the 10 best players in the world signed up

The Porsche Grand Prix tournament in Germany can boast itself as having a field as deep as some Grand Slams and WTA 1000 tournaments. The Stuttgart clay tournament is a favorite destination of the players, it is often voted as the best premium tournament on the tour, winning the award a total of 9 times since 2007. In addition, the appearances fees are rumored to be some of the highest on the WTA Tour.

Without surprise, a star-studded field, led by two-time defending champion and world No.1 Iga Swiatek, will grace the red clay courts of the Porsche Arena. Out of the top ten, only Maria Sakkari has chosen to skip the tournament that will be held from April 15th-21st. In addition to 20 out of the 31 best women players in the world, Angelique Kerber and Emma Raducanu both received wildcards as Porsche Ambassadors and will be able to battle for the prize money, but also a brand new Porsche Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo.

The oldest women's indoor tennis tournament in the world will kick off the European clay-court swing, culminating in the presentation of Roland-Garros from May 26th to June 9th.
